There is a link between Herpes Zoster and Multiple Sclerosis

October 26, 2011 Filed Under: Treatment   Tags: , , ,

The discovery comes from Taiwan and covers the Herpes Zoster, a disease annoying and sometimes painful, derived from chicken pox.
The chickenpox virus, in fact, some people will not be permanently defeated but remains “dormant” in the body for several years, only to reappear in a more serious with this disorder, commonly known as “shingles“.

Often, when the varicella virus remains in the body of the people, lurking in some nerve fibers of the body and, given that multiple sclerosis is a disease that arises from the disintegration of the nerve fiber (and the consequent lack of communication between it and the brain), the relationship between the two events seems very possible.

In this study, symptoms of sclerosis in patients suffering from herpes zoster appeared three or four years after the disease and most of them were aged under 45 years. Herpes usually affects people with seriously compromised immune system from diseases earlier, highly stressful factors or taking certain medications. The new studies under way on remedies sclerosis may also involve this trouble and then start to fight for a common solution to the problem.

I was diagnosed ‘Multiple Sclerosis’ in 2009. I’m also having ‘Hyperthyroid’ and also had a case of ‘Herpes’ (appeared near left ear) when I was 14/15 years old.
Till now I had four MS relapses.

    What aggravates the MS RELAPSE?
I feel that just before every MS relapse I got a small red color pimple on my body (usually on my stomach/head/scalp). Then I feel burning sensation which forms HALF-CIRCLE around the body. After 4 to 5 days of this pain I got the MS relapse.

I think this half circle pain belongs to Herpese.
As per my understanding, Herpese & MS are tightly coupled.

    Thanks & Reagards,
    Isha
