And the baby was born in utero heart surgery

Surgery
Julia was born on Wednesday, is very small and still does not know to be a record for the Italian medicine. In fact, underwent his first surgery when he was still inside the womb of the mother.

The girl had a heart defect, the right ventricle was shrinking and so his little heart threatened to stop forever, or-if she came to grow strongly in the light-defective, preventing her from leading a normal life. The courageous action (which took place in Turin), with the baby still in the womb, was carried to the twentieth week via a delicate micro-surgery that has failed to solve the problem without the need to accelerate delivery.

It is not the first time that such sensitive operations are made in Italy of children still in the womb, but usually related to other diseases (such as spina bifida). Act directly on a small heart in full swing was a very high risk, even if necessary. And now that everything went well, open new hopes for the future and for other children who may be as lucky as Julia
